Eligibility
- Open to writers aged 13 to 18 worldwide.
- Entrants may submit only one essay per competition year.
Submission Guidelines
- Essays must address the annual theme in a creative and thoughtful manner.
- Word count must be between 1,000 and 2,500 words.
- Submissions must be original work by the entrant and unpublished elsewhere.
- Essays must be submitted in PDF or DOCX format via email to submit@viremont.org.
- Include your full name, age, and contact information in the submission email.
- Deadline for submissions is July 30, 2025, 11:59 PM (UTC).
Judging Criteria
- Relevance and insightfulness regarding the competition theme.
- Creativity, originality, and clarity of expression.
- Grammar, spelling, and overall writing quality.
- Emotional impact and ability to engage the reader.
Prizes
- Selected winners will receive mentorship from published authors.
- Winning essays will be published in the Viremont Initiative’s digital anthology.
- Monetary awards will be granted to top three winners.
- All entrants will receive a certificate of participation.
Additional Terms
- All submitted essays become the property of the Viremont Initiative for promotional use with credit.
- Entries that plagiarize or violate submission guidelines will be disqualified.
- The judges’ decisions are final.
- The Viremont Initiative reserves the right to modify rules and deadlines with prior notice.
